Hi Julie,

I wouldn't assume that the students in your class have already made the
decision to breastfeed. Many times it's the one's who have decided to, and
who are comfortable with their knowledge about breastfeeding who opt not to
take the class. It's the ones who are undecided and want to learn more
about it so they can make an educated decision who take the class.

We don't teach a breastfeeding class at our WIC office, because all our area
hospitals do. As part of my counseling, especially to undecided mothers, I
refer them to the class at whichever hospital they are delivering at.
