I appreciate Sandy's thoughtful post. I think we all need to think about
this in the context of what our role as LC is. Remember there has been
criticism of pediatricians here on lactnet b/c they give out parenting
advice and questions raised about whether or not it is their place to do so.
I am not taking either side, just pointing this out.
I agree as LCs the bf and the parenting stuff sometimes gets intermingled.
And when someone point blank asks what I think about cosleeping or spoiling
the baby, I tell them.
I appreciate Nancy sharing the latest research on child development. I think
that should definitely be part of our education. And the pedis too. We need
to examine our practice always, and lactnet is definitley the place.
