11pm CDT. I'm seeking some quick ideas for a mother. I haven't yet
searched archives, am on my way out to hospital presently.

She's hospitalized with severe pain from complications of epidural
anethesia and c-section, 4-day-old infant hospitalized separately (that's
another story for later) -- of note is that they're separated and she's not
presently nursing. Mother is engorged, might be developing plugged ducts,
not successful pumping or hand expressing due to pain and supine position
(blood patch procedure), etc... I'm going to suggest she try cabbage
leaves. Any other ideas? (I realize it would be most helpful to get baby
latched on asap, but it's not going to happen tonight. I realize that
gravity can help, but she's restricted to supine position tonight.) She
feels really bad and is depressed.

TIA for any helpful input.
