Another question. I have a mother who has been taking steroids all
through her pregnancy and bf. Both her babies were early. The second
one only by a 2 weeks. This second one has had a terrible time with
nursing. She is finally solely bf after about 8 weeks of pumping and
giving EBM in a bottle. What effect could the steroids have on all
this. She went to her doctor 3x in the first weeks, saw several
lactation specialists at the hospital and who came to her house. She is
a very determined woman to keep this up for 2 months. I just recently
learned about the steroids and wonder what effect this could have had on
the whole process. Any thoughts or similar stories welcome.

My former co-leader in town who is not on line would like to know if
there is anyone out there on Breastfeeding Task Forces. She would like
to organize one here in Indianapolis, but is wondering what expertise
the rest of you may have. She would like to include DRs, LCs, LLLL's,
and anyone else that is truly pro-breastfeeding. We had a task force,
but that seems to have disbanded. Any ideas would be welcome.
