Am I being overly critical or sensitive by hesitating to distribute this new
DADDY sheet with some really worthwhile information for dads like a list of
sweet things he can do for his breastfed baby... A pad of these sheets was sent
to me by Playtex Mother's Own Milk program but under "Taking care of mom"
list there are two items troubling me -- one is "Breastfeeding is hard work.
Make it easy on her. Take on chores you usually don't do." Good advice, yes,
but the "hard work" part is insidious, I think. And then, last on that list
"Later on, you can feed your baby with breastmilk in a nurser, but wait at least
four weeks before introducing a nurser so your baby will have a chance to get
completely comfortable with breastfeeding." Wow, a whole four weeks! Any
thoughts on this attractive new handout? Thanks, Ann Conlon-Smith, IBCLC, LLLL
