Dear Margery and Others
I hope that you will all continue this discussion on allergies and
allergens on Lactnet and not in private email. Today I got My breastfeeding
clinic kicked out of my temporary site because of a Diabetic clinic for
peadiatrics. I was a bit hurt and felt that they should recognize that if
all those mothers had breastfed those kids for longer duration maybe some
would not have diabetes today. By Dr. Borowitz explanation this might not
seem so. What do others think? Is this just a Breastfeeding myth? Has not
jeuvenile diabetes increased with the advent of formula or artificial
mother's milk? Or did I just hope that was true?

Thanks
Attie from Ontario, Canada, where there is still a risk of frost tonight
