I'm seeking information from those with experience with cultures that do
not initiate bf until mom's milk comes in. With respect and sensitivity
for the belief systems embraced, is there any effective way to introduce
the body of scientific knowledge regarding how beneficial colostrum is to
the newborn? [Or am I being awfully ethnocentric to even ask that question
-- i.e., "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"?]

This is for a panel presentation at a state perinatal organization mtg.
I'd appreciate hearing from anyone with suggestions, advice, insight.
Thanks --

Kathryn
