What is a stronger anticoagulant? Anticoagulants are used in the
amounts necessary to produce a certain result, followed by blood
tests. Heparin is just fine for treatment of blood clots. The
problem is that it has to be given by injection.

The mother should go on warfarin if she needs something oral, and
breastfeed, since warfarin is safe during breastfeeding.
