Thank you Chris for explaining this - very clear when read slowly!
Unfortunately in Australia we have introduced a Goods and Services Tax from July 2000. On everything except basic foods, health care, education. Some horrible examples are infant formula 0% GST, breast pumps 10% GST, incontinence pads 0% GST, sanitary pads/tampons 10% GST.
Private school fees 0%GST, books 10% GST
Not to mention the bother of if your chicken is cooked or in pieces, or your bread has fruit in it!
