Someone observed that
<< no matter how "gently" breastfeeding advocates present it, they are
reprimanded for "imposing" guilt >>

Is it guilt that women feel? Or is it grief at the loss of an intimate
relationship? Bear in mind that women have two intimate reproductive roles
-- intercourse and lactation -- and understand that since the survival of the
species depends on these they are powerfully motivated. A woman who never
engages in intercourse, or never has an organism, or never suckles a baby --
for whatever reason -- experiences a loss and has reason to grieve that loss.

Who feels guilty? The family, friends and medical care providers who do not
support breastfeeding so have reason to feel guilty. Perhaps they project
their guilt on the mothers that they 'serve' and shift the blame they feel to
those who remind them of their failings.
