HI All,
Have a really interesting question for you.
I have a friend who was diagnosed with CFS in 1991. She has a 10 mo old
daughter who BF frequently. Since hearing the recent developments regarding
the nature of CFS (evidently it is a brain disease that may be contagious),
she is concerned about passing this disease on to her daughter. Her old Dr.,
who used to treat her, said that she should prob'ly only BF for the first 6
mo, as the baby would probably be safe for that amount of time. After that,
the Dr is concerned that the baby may come down with CFS herself.
Does anyone have any info at all (I know that this is prob'ly not even being
studied with BF women) that might help us out here?
All help appreciated!
Jay
