  Subject: Breast lumps

Do you have some research to back what you are saying about the risk of surgery and breast lumps? I would be interested in reading it. I work in a Women's Health Clinic as a Nurse Practitioner and I find what you are saying alarming and wonder about the research.

Have you ever seen a woman under 40 who comes in with what appears to be mastitis although she is not even breastfeeding, treat her for the mastitis, no improvement, treat her with another antibiotic and then after that fails, send her for a mammogram to learn she has inflammatory ductal carcinoma? What you are saying is true for many cancers. Cancer in the young woman is scarey.

I need to educate myself but with some research based studies.
  Thanks
