Dear all, this is not strictly speaking breast feeding related, but I would like to pick your collective brains. I have a young patient who is now about 16 weeks gestation with her first pregnancy. She used Ecstasy (MDMA) and Amphetamines a number of times in the first trimester before she realised she was pregnant She is now very concerned about the possible effects of this and I told her I would get some info for her. I'm not having much luck on the net. Does any one know of any good sites with info about illicit drug use in pregnancy?  Or if Drs Hale and Newman are out there do you have any info? Many young people in Australia use these drugs recreationally and I have a feeling I'll need good information about their use in breastfeeding as well as pregnancy before long.
