Thank you, also, Robin. I thought the cord info was not correct. A LOT of 
what this Mom's Resident OB has told her is not correct, though, I am thinking. 
Although, they could have misunderstood this particular, when she showed me 
the U Cord, it just *looked* like some Mec had got ON the cut end of the U 
Cord, as this stuff was sticky and thick as tar. I was going to explain it to her, 
but I'm going to wait. (She's already beginning to really resent her OB, the 
way it is....) 

As for the suctioning, I don't catch babies, but it seems many of the docs in 
our area suction pretty regularly when there is Mec present.  Also, I wasn't at 
the birth, I am just repeating what I was told. Dad said there was Mec IN the 
fluid which they suctioned out, Mom says she didn't see that.
