A lot of you have pointed out in passing that breastfeeding should be
written as one word. This is how I write it, and I realize it is written
this way in LLL's materials. I just wonder -- what is the justification?
The only one I could come up with (as a writer and editor) is that most
compound words do become one closed word over time. But all the reference
materials I have list it as hyphenated. Can anyone explain?

Thanks,
