Got a request to elaborate on filing and thought I'd share it with all of
you :-)

Dear Karleen, go to <lalecheleague.org> then go to professional info, pick
center for BF info and then pick keywords. That is all of their topics. I
don't use every one. I lump drugs together by type, all vitamins together,
several items under mental health etc. and some categories I don't have
articles for, etc.

I also have some that are different. Authors, as I mentioned. And Basics
of BF, BF classes (outlines, tips, hints, etc.)breast implants, CERPs (as
soon as I get home I drop the cerp certificate right into the file with a
program outline :-), Decision to BF, Duration of BF, early discharge and so
on. As you begin to sort articles you will find some that belong in 2 (or 3
! ) places. You can ignore that and put article where you think you will
most often look for it or you can copy the whole article (ugh-makes for very
fat files) or copy first page and put it in 2nd file with a note to *see
file xyz*

It sort of grows like topsy. Remember I've been doing this for over 30
years! I now have 14!!! file drawers. and want to rework them. Some files
are really getting too fat and need subdivision. One trick that is
invaluable is to use hanging files! And you can get wide files for BIG
topics like jaundice. Sub divide within a file with manila folders. Don't
bother to get fancy and color code - believe me, it doesn't work. If
anything else comes to mind, I'll pass it on.

Articles are one of my OC hobbies :-)
Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
