I like this pump a lot, but there is one big loophole for error - once
you get it affixed right, you can pump a lot of milk fairly quickly but
I have found the rubbery petaled "liner" needs to be soaked to create
suction both against the flange and against your breast. I poured
filtered water over the whole flange and insert (a few drops get sucked
into the collection bottle) then played around with position. You have
to hold it firmly against the breast at just the right angle. The first
time I used it I nearly threw it across the room with frustration - but
once I "got it", I had it. Also, there should be a tiny dime-sized
white valve (it looks like a little cog wheel); make sure that is in
the right place. The assembly is a little complicated but once done 2
or 3 times, it's easy.

It is a great pump for collecting milk from already established
supplies for occasional bottles or relief of engorgement. The only
trouble I saw was with a client who was trying to both increase and
maintain a supply with it - she struggled. I have no financial interest
in the pump.
