Hello wonderful Lactnetters.

I have a personal question for you all which I can't seem to find on an
Internet search. My sister is 33 and on her quest to have a baby, was
diagnosed with premature ovarian failure. She has told she has a 1% chance
of conceiving on her own, but it is possible for her to carry a child
through IVF and an egg donor. I, as her only sibling, offered my eggs. I
am 35, but the doctors say I am not too old to donate.

Here's the catch. I didn't realize that the drugs they would use are
incompatible with breastfeeding (like Clomid). What a blow this was to my
sister. My son--our last child--is 14 months old, but may nurse for another
year or two and I am not comfortable with weaning to donate eggs--even for
my sister.

Has anyone ever heard of a situation where someone could donate eggs without
these drugs or if there are any alternatives that are compatible with
breastfeeding?

I appreciate any input you have!
