I'm sorry if my writings are not always correct in typing. In the first
place is English not my first language and secondly is my thinking much
faster than my typing, so I do *occasionally* hit the wrong keys :-); I will
reread this one thouroughly before sending!
This brings me to another item that bothers me whenever I read the Lactnet
posts. It would be nice if native English writers would acknowledge the fact
that there are also Lactnetters whose first or even second language is not
English, like myself. I often have difficulty understanding a message if
much abbreviations are used (is that the word meaning the use of shortened
words like bf in stead of breastfeeding?) Would you Amercians, Canadians,
Australians and UKpeople please use full words or could someone make and
post an abbreviation list, that we can keep on hand when reading Lactnet
posts?
TIA (that one for example took me a couple of weeks to understand)
So, Thanks In Advance,
Gonneke van Veldhuizen, IBCLC, Maaseik, Belgium
Dutch first language
English second,
German third
