Please, people.  Do not assume that human milk in the breast is sterile.
It is not.  There may be things in it that render it not sterile, with or
without an infection.  However, because it is a living substance, it also
contains white cells that are quite good at (yea, even eager to!) gobble up
any errant cells that might cause an inflammation, etc.

The milk is good, but not sterile, even in the breast untouched by "human"
or not-so-human hands!
