Sorry I got  strep  and Staph aureus confised.  It was very late here when
I wtote the letter.  I do know that staph (B?) infection is VERY common in
Russian hospitals.  So the infestation is common too.  They seem to treat
children for it, but I haven't heard about mothers being treated.

It seems to me (correct meif I am wrong), that if both mom and baby are
infected, there is a possibility that the baby's stomach can lack
certain "good" bacteria, since the "bad" ones have overtaken and mom-baby
keep passing it onto each other.  I have also found that if you treat Staph
aureus it can cause pathogenic bacteria to grow and become a problem.  Now,
I am not a medical professional, so I rely on what I read, how I understand
it the best I can make a conclusion.

I have never heard anyone rule out oversupply and allergies before they get
onto lactose intolerance and disbacteriosis.
