I do not remember where i gather this info.(maybe thomas w. Hale), but prolactin levels are higher doring long periods of sleep. This why we say night time. But if you work night shift and you sleep doring the day, than your prolactin is higher doring the day sleep.

ciao,
rosellina from sicily

Recently when educating a mother about night time feeding I mentioned =
that prolactin levels were higher a night - the mother question why? I =
have looked in my beastfeeding text books for the answer can anyone =
enlighten me?
