birth -- babies are weighed *routinely* FOUR TIMES IN THE FIRST YEAR
(intervals set in the report). (recommendation leaked in the health
visitor's journal last year)."

This is amazing, Magda(and about time too). :-)
Cant wait to get a hold of the report!

I just did a count from my Child Health Record Book, of how many weighs my
third son (now 20 months)had in the first year ang got 12!This being the
third, I haven't been as often as I was expected to either ,in fact I
haven't been back since his hearing assessment at 8 months!
He was weighed at birth, Day 2, discharge, day 11 at 1st child health nurse
visit, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12,and 16 weeks (phew!), then 6 months till I
stopped going as he is healthy and who has *time* with 3 kids, husband and
work etc! So he got 8 more weighs than your recommended 4!
We are talking about a normal baby, who apart from needing a snip of his
tongue tie on Day 10, all was well.
