Julie, the most comprehensive source I am aware of in English is _Yevoraich
Es Han'orim_: An Anthology of Halachos and Minhagim Regarding Pregnancy,
Childbirth, and Children, by Rabbi Shlomo Cohen. 1992, Feldheim Publishers
It's a very religious book -- that is, it's intended audience is very
Orthodox parents -- but has a friendly tone, and gives the whole spectrum of
stuff you are looking for, only excepting the bible anecdotes.
I personally am much less observant than the guy who wrote the book would
like me to be, but I like the book a lot all the same, and recommend it. I
look stuff up in it all the time.
Warmly,
Elisheva Urbas
