Debi,
Does your hospital have a policy on the use of donor milk? If they do not perhaps this situation will be the impetus for developing one. You may find a paper I wrote about the ethics of milk sharing helpful. It can be read at http://media.clinicallactation.org/3-3/CL3-3gribble.pdf Finally, who has legal responsibility for this baby in terms of being able to make decision about medical treatment? It may not be the people who are planning to adopt this baby and this should be considered in terms of what treatment is provided.

The adoptive Mom has had frozen (sort of) expressed breast milk sent it to her by a "friend" from out of state. did NOT feed to neonate. ***Milk bank not involved.**** She wants her friend to send more.
