My daughter, a twin, was tongue-tied and I tell you what. I saw more oral
surgeries in nine months than I hope to ever see. The reason for there
hestinancy was this, I was not in much pain. However, once I explained the
fact that they were twins and they rotated the breast therefore the pain was
minimal and she was gaining weight because of the other twin iniating the
letdown they understood. She is still the smaller of the twins. It was a
very simple rather painless procedure that took less than 3 minutes and
alittle topical lidocaine. I nursed her before and then imediately after. She
did beautiful. The only thing that happened was the first time in 9 months I
didn't expierence pain when nursing. It probably helped that the oral surgery
was also a breastfeeding mother and understood my pain. Thanks for letting me
share hope this helps understand the moms point of view.
