I was in yahoo.com looking for some mailing addresses, and suddenly three
little bouncing bottles appeared in the banner ad, with "It's a girl. A
girl. And a boy. Witness the miracle of a triplet birth by Cesarean secion."
The ad was for a site called Thehealthnetwork.com. (Ironically, when I
clicked on the banner ad to go to the site, the first thing on the page was
a large banner saying, "Diabetes. Focus on the facts.") I didn't surf around
much, but nothing about the content seemed horrendously objectionable -- no
other bottles on the site that I saw in a quick look at the parenting
community. There was a poll "Did/do you breastfeed your baby?," a
breastfeeding article

p?idocid=3174
conveying the AAP 12/97 recommendations, a sleep article my 3.5-year-old
daughter needs to read informing me that breastfed babies sleep through the
night at 3-6 MONTHS old (_What to Expect_ was the source for this info), and
under "Baby Steps" (a TV show, apparently)
http://www.thehealthnetwork.com/centers/parenting/tvshows/babysteps.asp
I found this for one day: "Breast Feeding [sic]
Your once sexy breasts [ONCE?] may begin to have a whole new purpose when a
baby enters into your life. Even "getting a grip on yourself" takes on a
whole new meaning. Breastfeeding has been around a long, long time and so
have many of the myths surrounding it. Learn the truth about breast feeding
on today's Baby Steps. You can also learn more at www.LaLecheleague.org or
www.compromisesolutions.com."

The net-net seems to be that the content isn't terrible compared to most of
these "health" sites, but perhaps they need to hear that the bouncing
bottles ad doesn't really jibe with the image they may want to project as an
expert on health ... If you're so inclined, write to
