I don't recall seeing the poem but there is a very touching song by Kenny
Loggins called, "Danny's Downs."  My dear friend Terri Bloomingdale used it
in a presentation and also gave to a good friend who gave birth to a downs
baby.  Terri is in Rockford, IL and I don't know if she is still on line, but
someone from Rockford or the Private Practice Group that used to meet in
Philadelphia each spring might remember.  I lost a lot of my syllabus
materials from those conferences (and others) in the flood this past summer
when my basement was awash.
