I recently worked with a mom who had an oversupply. She wanted to reduce her
supply quickly and so she chose to use single-sided feeding as well as sage
and parsley. She used parsley capsules and saw a rather rapid reduction in
her supply (not too much, but very fast). I have mentioned that I previousely
used juiced parsely myself and saw a very rapid reduction in my own supply
(unintentionally). At our local ILCA affiliate meeting last night, I
mentioned this to those present. Sharon Vallone, a chiropractor who has
posted on the board, said that she regularly suggests parsley capsules to
clients who have edema and that it works very well. This got us to wondering
what would happen if we used parsley for moms who have edema so severely that
it is inhibiting supply. Would it actually interefere w/ supply if used very
briefly or would it resolve the edema so as to promote Lactogenesis II.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
