Here in Los Angeles, we have a very large Asian population.  Many of those
families, particularily those who are rather new to this country, believe cr
 can put their babies to breast.  How very frustrating it is for us with our
pump rental station.  When we get a call to rent a pump we always try to
determine the reason the pump is needed and then to guide in the right
direction.  So far, I have had little, if any luck with the families who
strongly feel that they will surely harm their babies if they allow them to
take colostrum.  I admire your decision to make every effort to empower moms,
enough so they can do what we so strongly know is the right thing.  Your words
have given me a boost.  I will, again try to, at the least, inform these
families of how important it is for their babies to get the *first milk*.
