There is legislation already on the books protecting a mothers right to
breastfeed in the state of Texas.  Additionally, our Health Commissioner,
Dr. Eduardo Sanchez is very supportive of breastfeeding.  The information
that bfg is not sexual abuse of children does not always filter down to
conservative, local departments of child protective services.  Generally
speaking, a phone call or letter from someone should take all the heat off
this mom.  The mother should approach Tracy Erikson at the Texas Dept. of
Health in Austin.  She may be able to help.
