Part of the reason not to clip is that for many childre"tongue tie" means
that the front end of the tongue has not grown yet and if you leave it alone
it will grow. Thus, leaving it alone if there are no nursing difficulties
until at least one year does make sense as prior to that time there are few
teath and the child is not speaking clearly anyway.
