Hi all
Permission to post.
I have a former client who just had a unilateral mastectomy for breast cancer with lymph involvement, she weaned her now 2 year old about 4 months ago and 3 months later (1 month ago) the cancer was discovered. She has heard that there is no risk to her daughter from having nursed on a 'cancer filled breast' but it is nagging at her and she would love some studies that support this. I have done some research and see it written that there is no concern but I haven't seen any evidence of studies done. Anyone out there know of any?
Thank you
Ami Burnham LM, RN, IBCLC
