Surely the length of time spent at the breast is irrelevant? It's the effectiveness of milk transfer that matters - how effectively the baby is spending time at the breast. You could have a sleepy new baby spend a long time at the breast abd trabsfer nothing. On the other hand you could have a bruiser who is very strong and transfers milk quickly.

Nappies are a much more reliable indicator of feeding effectiveness than length time spent at the breast. Weight and appearance are also important.
