Docs say they will destroy an embryo rather than implant while mom
is still nursing and 3 mo beyond.
What is their concern, for heaven's sake-that she might miscarry the
embryo/fetus is she's still nursing? Let's say for the sake of
argument that that is a possibility. So the embryo is implanted and
doesn't make it to term. Why is that any different than "aborting"
it before implantation? (I don't want to start an argument re
abortion-just the crazyness of this particular situation.)
Since time is running out it would make sense to implant the embryo,
even in less than ideal situations (speaking of other possible
circumstances, not the nursing) and take the chance that it might
not reach term (which is always a possibility - even failure of the
embryo to successfully implant is always a possibility). Certainly
the chances are infinitely greater than if it is simply discrded!.
