Jay,

In a message dated 95-10-17 16:36:48 EDT, you write:

I've checked into goats milk and have a comparison of that to cow's and human
milk. After looking through the whole thing carefully, a mom is better off
giving a baby ABM than goat's milk; the solute load is incredibly high, and
just about on the same par as straight unmodified cow's milk. An older baby
(1+) can probably tolerate it; whether it is better for her than cow's milk,
I can't really say. Heidi and Peter and the Grandfather did very nicely on
it in Switzerland, so it probably doesn't make any difference. Much as I
don't like ABM, at least the formula manufacturers (poor things) (yeah,
ri-gh-t!) are "trying" to make the stuff modified with the basic nutrients
aligned and in proportion to mother's milk. Reminds me of eating fake fat,
yuk!
