As a postpartum doula I find that actually the more the mother has been
through regarding fertility, the more likely she is to breastfeed because she
wants some part of it all to be her own doing. And these moms usually are
nursing twins besides.  They've been on bedrest, typically, and have had lots
of time to read and find out that breast is so much better than bottle. They
are usually older and have maturity and put the interests of their babies
first.
