We have had a few mothers breastfeed after transplant and the mothers and
babies did quite well. One mother on cyclosporin and prednisone (kidney
transplant) breastfed for at least a year. We have had others. And I am
aware of a mother in California who breastfed after a liver transplant while
on cyclosporin and other meds as well.

These women have already suffered so much. Is it really necessary to also
deprive them of breastfeeding? Not in my opinion.
