"I have an infant of a breastfeeding mom scheduled to have general
anesthesia to r/o retinalblastoma. Mom was told to have baby fast for 12
hours prior to surgery."

I think this is too long. Didn't someone post about Boston Childrens having
a 3 hour NPO after breast milk policy?
I personally had a patient with a retinoblastoma who had surgery at Wills
Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. If I remember right mom said he was allowed to
breastfeed 2 hours preop.
