The blood one loses during menstruation is the shedding of the lining of the
uterus, built up over the previous month. It is not blood coming directly
out of the bloodstream during your period. So I don't think heavy exercise
is going to do much to get any toxins into the bloodstream and out of the
body. Interesting idea though!
Mothering Magazine is a wonderful resource *IF* you take it with a grain of
salt. It is not a scientific journal, and the writers don't always use
accurate data or scientific logic in their articles. So, reader beware.
