I would suggest this mom find a naturopath. Heavy bleeding can be greatlly influenced by diet and herbs and other remedies can decrease bleeding. I have a friend who had extremely excessive menstrual bleeding until she began to use a natural progesterone cream daily (1/8 tsp twice per day). I highly recommend "What Your Doctor may Not Have Told You About Premenopause" for her. She may also need an herbal solution to her iron loss, such as Floridex or liquyid chlorophyll.
