In the UK, the most bf-friendly and knowledgable paediatricians and HPs I
know say it hardly ever exists in a fully bf baby - and certainly there's
nothing I have seen in the literature that's convincing.

I have never come across a diagnosis of primary lactose intolerance here in
a bf baby, and I have only ever heard of one - years ago, and it was not a
case that convinced me (long story).

LI is regarded as usually a temporary thing in bottle fed infants who have
had a bout of gastro-enteritis.
