I've thought of something interesting that hopefully one of you ladies
has studied.
It seems as if people in general realize the importance of animal babies
(non human ones) getting their mother's milk, sleeping with their
mother, etc. Not only that but people really respect the fact to leave
them alone while they are giving birth (even in a vet hospital; what a
contrast to a "people" hospital!).
Has anyone studied the differences between animals who were hand raised
by people in captivity as opposed to animals who were born and live in
the wild?
We hear about health problems associated with abm feeding in human
infants but I've never heard anything about this in other animals.
Anyone know what THEIR formula consists of or what its repercussions
are?
What's really sad is that it seems as if people seem to appreciate the
fact that mom's milk is so important when it comes to, say, a little
polar bear who's mom turned on him, but they don't realize the
importance in human babies.
This could be an interesting research paper, don'tcha think??
Take care everyone,
Karen
