I have worked with a few dads who really enjoyed fingerfeeding...when mom
was unavailable. They like the physical sensation of baby at finger! My own
DH...used to let my daughter suck on his finger while sleeping next to her
and while driving (ten years ago...babies were rear facing in the front
seat). I think this bottle "fondness" is just a matter of knowing nothing
else, having seen nothing else. I like Kathy's post about babies sucking on
elbows, fingers...whatever, to keep them happy 'til mom returns. This is
something that needs to be modelled for "our men."
