In a message dated 97-06-14 05:42:39 EDT, you write:

I totally agree with what you said Barb, earlier concerning alcoholic and BF.
My 2 cents, no active alcoholic should be BFing her baby. Alcohol is a
disease that is primary, progressive, and deadly. When an alcoholic
relapses, they start right back where they stopped and sometimes even at a
more progressive stage. You may ask her any question, but you will most
likely never get the correct answer to how much she is drinking, how often,
etc., etc. Remember, alcholism is a disease of denial and anyone that is
actively drinking or druging will be unable to perceive, respond, act, or
function in a normal (whatever that is) sane, honest way. That is the crazy,
wickedness of the disease that can become distructive to the alcoholic, baby
and family.
