My daughter - breastfed on demand for 3.5 years, started sucking the upper
part of her lower arm - near the joint - when her brother was born. She was
19 months. She quite simply said - "it is most like your breast, the thumb
is too hard." I thought, since she started the day Ian came, that she was
feeling needy. She gave up her arm sucking, much to our surprise, at age 6.

My son, age 6, had to have a crown on a badly decayed tooth. He has a mouth
full of borderline decay. Totally breastfed till age 2.5. But had flagyll
as a baby (7 months) for guiaridasis. Any connection between flagyl and
tooth decay? My daughter, husband and my teeth are all fine.
