Hi all,
I've been nomail forever, it seems, so let me re-introduce myself. I'm a
Womens Health Educator, Lactation Consultant, speaker, and humorist, based
in St. Louis, Missouri USA. Also mother of 2 boys, 11 & 16 yo (the 16yo just
scored a perfect 1600 on the SAT--due in part, I tell him, because he was
bf!) Am also happily married to a social worker who specializes in family
therapy with abusive/neglectful parents.
I've put together a talk on soy--the benefits of soy for adults, & the
hazards of soy for infants. The more I read, the more freaked out I've
become. (I was a soy baby.) I'm currently trying to stave off the urge to
submit my findings for publication somewhere. :-) In the mean time, I have a
fairly extensive bibliography in a Wordperfect file (which I can convert to
a text file for non-Wordperfect users), as well as some pretty convincing
graphs in my Powerpoint talk. (Don't think I can convert them tho.) I've
faxed the "handout" version of the graphs to some physicians here (with
references on them), and they've been pretty well received. I'd be happy to
share them in whatever format (file, fax, or snailmail) works best. Please
email me privately.
On another note: I've got a chance for a GREAT deal for a trip to London in
October, but my hubby won't consider going unless I can justify it as a
business expense! So, any of you Englanders out there that would like me to
come PRESENT my soy talk (or one of my other programs!) the week of October
8-15, please email me ASAP! I must lock in to this deal by 6 July, or it's
gone.....:-(
