If this mother is Spanish-speaking she may not be able to get much from an
English-speaking LLL group. And she may not have internet. The local WIC
(Women, Infants, Children government nutrition program with a component of
breastfeeding) agency often has bilingual staff, who could perhaps (with
permission) put her in touch with other moms or peer counselors.

I would try to help her with clothing, ideas to breastfeed in private when
out (go into the clothing changing room at Walmart for example), and ways
to set some limits on the toddler when out in public.

Let me say that I bf one of mine til age 5 or 6 (she was in school) in the
unfavorable culture towards bf of the Deep South USA. It was necessary to
do those things once she got older. I even feared she would be taken away
by Child Protection, the attitude was that bad. So I would be trying to
meet the mother where she is. If not, she may wean prematurely. Better to
continue nursing (she is alrleady getting grief over that) than to
completely wean due to outside pressures.
