Dear Lactnetters,
    I once learned at a breastfeeding conference a question that can be
asked............"Would you like to be able to breastfeed your baby?"
Often the answer will be, "yes, but my sister couldn't",  or "yes,
but..........................." , fill in the blank.  And often you can
address the individual problem or stumbling block or area of apprehension
a mother may have.

     Also, on the subject of "trying" to breastfeed.  More women will do
it if we, as nurses and LCs, make it as easy as possible.

    September is still a summer month!  (in the northern hemisphere,
anyway)
