Deena Zimmerman's post about fussy babies who want to eat all night
reminded me of SEVERAL conversations that occurred in the car when Pardee
and Marie and I were on vacation in northern Arizona after the ILCA
COnference. About 4:30 every afternoon, I started getting what they called
"cranky." Their standard advice was for me to a) drink some water, b)
chomp on a Twizzler, c) take a nap!

About two hours later, I felt better, usually after water and a nap, tho
the Twizzlers weren't bad!

I guess if adults can feel yucky and need a snack period, why shouldn't we
expect babies to? Especially when they have to double their weight in 4
months?!

Def. of LC service: "We are all faced with a series of great opportunities
brilliantly disguised as impossible situations."
